	Stowe Mountain Resort lives up to its nickname as the ski capital with almost 500 skiable acres, 116 trails, and 2,160 feet of vertical drop. At a place that big, there is plenty of space to find your new favorite run.  If Stowe Mountain is not enough, there are four other ski areas are within a 30-mile radius of the Stoweflake.

Private and semi-private lessons are perfect for those just starting out or for those who want to brush up on their skills. 	Umiak's Moonlight Snowshoe Tour will lead you to a hidden sugarhouse in the woods by the light of the moon (or headlamp). Enjoy a toasty fire, award winning Vermont Cabot cheddar cheese, crackers, Cold Hollow's hot apple cider, stargazing and good friends. Bring your own favorite bottle of wine if you like. 	New Englands most scenic and romantic rides, Gentle Giants' Percheron and Belgian draft horses will pull you in beautifully lit “santa style sleighs”.  Your journey will take you through covered bridges, open brooks and winding wooded trails—all with magnificent views.  Families and groups are welcome. 	Work on your park skills in one of Stowe Mountain Resort's several man-made terrain parks. These parks range in the size of the features from small to large to allow you to work your way up and improve at each level. The mountain also offers a 345 foot half pipe with 18 foot walls.

	Watch Chocolatiers at Laughing Moon Chocolates boil, pull, turn, roll, and twist these special Candy Canes into works of art. This fun, family oriented event takes place at Laughing Moon Chocolates on Main Street in Stowe Village at 11am each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from November 19th through December 23rd.

	Nordic walking is an exciting new fitness activity available in all four seasons that combines basic outdoor fitness walking with the use of ergonomically designed poles to enhance the workout, engaging the upper body and abs. 	Take a dog sledding tour on Stoweflake's trails! Step back in time before automobiles and snow machines were a way of life, when dog sledding and running dogs were the norm. 	For those who prefer the fast track, snowmobile tours can be arranged through Stoweflake's Mountain Vacation Planners' Desk. Experience the feeling of guiding your snow machine at high speed en route to a beautiful view as part of a guided tour. For more experienced snowmobilers, the Stowe area has an array of VAST trails that you can explore on your own. Stoweflake does not provide equipment.
	The Stowe Aprés Ski Massage is one of a hundred and twenty Spa at Stoweflake treatments available at the Spa at Stoweflake. It is the perfect way to end an adventurous day on the slopes. A muscle-soothing massage and heat therapy relax and melt away tension, while increasing circulation to back, hands and feet.
