The Stoweflake Balloon Festival, held annually in our events field, is an area favorite followed by the well-known British Invasion and Winter Carnival. The varied event list in Stowe is sure to be the highlight of any family vacation! January 10th-11th, 2014. Watch the UVM Alpine Winter Carnival at Stowe Mountain Resort. Enjoy fast skiers and fit racers! Watch the action as collegiate athletes compete on Stowe’s Main Street Course for top place.
January 18th - February 2nd, 2014. Celebrate winter in Vermont at the 40th annual Stowe Winter Carnival. Activities include ice carving contests, ski races, games and zany parties! If you are a lover of winter, plan to be in Stowe during this celebration of the season.
January 19, 2014. Stowe Tour De Snow. Voted a Top 10 Winter event, the Tour de Snow is both simple and genius. On the 5.3 mile Stowe Recreation Path, families and friends ski, walk, snowshoe or run. The Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum will run a ‘Vintage Cross-country Ski Race’ simultaneously. It’s a fun-filled day of activities!

February 16th-23rd, 2014 Stowe Mountain Film Festival. Held in the outdoor paradise of Stowe, this event is a celebration of mountain sports and culture. Eachyear, the newest releases from the outdoor film industry’s top production companies- along with submission from promising amateur filmakers- converge on the Green Mountain
March 2014. St. Patrick’s Day Hunt for the Golden Goggles at the Stowe Mountain Resort. This is a fun geo-cache event leading you to a secret Stowe prize.
June 14th, 2014. Craft Brew Race comes to Stowe! The 5k road race followed by a local beer festival is being sponsored and on Stoweflake grounds. Runners and walkers, as well as designated drivers and festival only are welcome to participate in the race and then enjoy the festivities featuring great local beer, local food, and live music!

July 11-13, 2014. More than 25 hot-air balloons will soar through the sky during Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa's 28th Hot Air Balloon Festival. Voted a top ten event by Vermont, this event is one of the State's most popular summer celebrations. When you stay at Stoweflake July 11-13, tickets to the Balloon Festival are free! 800-253-2232.
September 2014. The Stoweflake Show Grounds will be playing host to the 24th Annual British Invasion. During the largest all-British motorcar lifestyle event in the U.S., over 600 British-made automobiles will fill the streets of Stowe. Any Car enthusiast should plan to be here!
September, 2014 Pumpkin Chuckin’ Festival and Chili Cook-Off: A one-day event where do-it-yourself mechanical wizards of all ages attempt to launch pumpkins as far as possible with trebuchets, which are medieval siege engines. Along with the pumpkin chuckin’ contest comes music, children’s activities, chili cook-off, mini-Olympics, and great food; all creating an enjoyable fall day. Festival runs from 11am-4pm.

October 2014. The 18th Annual Oktoberfest transforms Stowe's Event Field into a Bavarian village for this annual celebration of harvests and fall foliage. From Oompah bands and authentic German foods to freshly brewed Vermont beers and face painting for the kids - there's something for every "villager" - young and old. Voted a "Top 10 Event in Vermont" for 2010!
October 2014. Stowe Foliage Arts Festival will take place at Stowe's Event Field where 150 great talented artists, creative craftspeople, and unique specialty food makers will gather amidst the apex of fall foliage in the quintessential Vermont town. Besides the creative shopping, you can also experience craft demos, live entertainment, horse rides, hay wagon rides, and pumpkin carving!
