The Stoweflake Balloon Festival, held annually in our events field, is an area favorite followed by the well-known British Invasion and Winter Carnival. January 19 - 27. Celebrate winter in Vermont at the 39th annual Stowe Winter Carnival. Activities include ice carving contests, ski races, games and zany parties! If you are a lover of winter, plan to be in Stowe during this celebration of the season.

February 2013. The Green Mountain Club invites you and your friends and family for an invigorating day of free snowshoe demos, guided snowshoe hikes to local peaks and other exciting activities. Demo snowshoes available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Special activities for kids are scheduled.
Watch the UVM Winter Carnival at Stowe Mountain Resort. Enjoy fast skiers and fit racers! Watch the action as collegiate athletes compete for top place.
The Main Event Series is New England's top progressive freestyle snow boarding competition! In its seventh season, the series has qualifiers around New England and then the Finals will be at Stowe. Riders have the chance to compete their way from their local mountain to the Burton U.S. Open.

July 11-13, 2014. More than 25 hot-air balloons will soar through the sky during Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa's 27th Hot Air Balloon Festival. The Stoweflake Show Grounds will be playing host to the 23rd Annual British Invasion. During the largest all-British motorcar lifestyle event in the U.S., over 600 British-made automobiles will fill the streets of Stowe. Any Car enthusiast should plan to be here!
September 29th, 2013 Pumpkin Chuckin’ Festival and Chili Cook-Off: A one-day event where do-it-yourself mechanical wizards of all ages attempt to launch pumpkins as far as possible with trebuchets, which are medieval siege engines. Along with the pumpkin chuckin’ contest comes music, children’s activities, chili cook-off, mini-Olympics, and great food; all creating an enjoyable fall day. Festival runs from 11am-4pm. transforms Stowe's Event Field into a Bavarian village for this annual celebration of harvests and fall foliage. From Oompah bands and authentic German foods to freshly brewed Vermont beers and face painting for the kids - there's something for every "villager" - young and old. Voted a "Top 10 Event in Vermont" for 2010!
October 11-13, 2013. Stowe Foliage Arts Festival
will take place at Stowe's Event Field where 150 great talented artists, creative craftspeople, and unique specialty food makers will gather amidst the apex of fall foliage in the quintessential Vermont town. Besides the creative shopping, you can also experience craft demos, live entertainment, horse rides, hay wagon rides, and pumpkin carving!
