NATURAL WELLNESS AND RELAXATION IN A PRISTINE SETTING: THE SPA AT STOWEFLAKE
Vermont Resort’s 50,000-square-foot facility provides signature treatments designed to relax, rejuvenate and recharge guests
Since its debut in 2003, the Spa at Stoweflake, located at the AAA Four Diamond Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa, a world-class, family-fun resort nestled amidst Vermont’s Green Mountains, has earned the reputation as a rejuvenating mountain paradise. As a premier New England destination spa, the Spa at Stoweflake is Vermont’s largest and most complete spa facility.
The luxurious Spa at Stoweflake has been designed to capture and infuse the spirit of Stowe’s spectacular natural surroundings. The spa offers the latest in progressive treatments and facilities, along with state-of-the-art strength and cardiovascular equipment, all set in a meditative environment that focuses on relaxation and rejuvenation.
“We’ve put our most creative concepts together to create what has become not only the top spa in New England, but a nationally recognized spa resort that provides unparalleled, life-enhancing experiences for our members and guests,” said Chuck Baraw, Stoweflake’s president.
Facilities at the Spa at Stoweflake include:
• Thirty private treatment rooms
• Aqua Solarium includes a rock formation hot tub with cascading Bingham Hydrotherapy Waterfalls
• Private men’s and women’s sanctuary lounges
• European style mineral soaking pool featuring Hungarian bath salts
• Three saunas plus three steam rooms
• Three hot tubs and a soaking pool
• A private women’s sunning deck
• Private women’s fitness room
• Dedicated Spinning studio
• Spacious yoga and fitness studio
• Fourteen salon stations offering various services
• Eight oversized personal shower facilities and changing area
The aforementioned captivating waterfall is modeled after Vermont’s famous Bingham Falls and sits beside a European-style mineral soaking pool, which features Hungarian salts. In addition, guests have the opportunity to sample from more than 120 specialized treatments, including signature massages, exclusive body treatments, soothing facials and a variety of salon services that are imbued with a sense of the spa’s pristine Green Mountain surroundings.
Complementing the spa is a separate meditative garden and 10,000-square-foot labyrinth designed to provide a quiet area for secluded strolls. Flowers and herbs from the labyrinths’ hedge roses are handpicked and incorporated into selected treatments and cuisine.
The spa provides several exclusive treatments, including the Stoweflake Maple Body Polish, an exclusive treatment using indigenous maple syrup to leave the skin soft and smooth; the Mountain Herb Mud Wrap, which uses mineral-rich mud followed by an herb and flower essence oil massage; the Hot Oil Treatment, which combines a hot oil massage with a deep cleansing scrub using Atlantic sea salt; and a Pure Stoweflake Facial, which incorporates all natural ingredients and features deep-cleansing aromatic steam exfoliation and facial mud mask techniques that produce a glowing, radiant skin.
On the culinary side, the Chefs of Stoweflake have incorporated the finest in “Spa Cuisine” to the menus of the resort’s award-winning restaurants, offering guests both healthy and tasteful options. Their cuisine emphasizes local products purchased from individuals who share their passion. Dishes are prepared in a simplistic manner to emphasize true and natural flavors, yet presented in a creative fashion designed to enrich and tantalize the senses. The spa creations will be available side-by-side with the regular menus, as well as available as a separate spa-only menu.
