Group Sales Manager
Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa, New England's Premier Luxury Resort and Conference Center is seeking a dynamic individual to add to our sales team. The Conference Center at Stoweflake is one of the most award-winning conference centers in the country and is looking for a Sales Manager. Responsibilities:
- Focus on producing sales through direct sales and maintaining current accounts and networking.
- Acquire referrals from existing accounts; follow up on leads within 24 hrs of receipt in an effort to create new business.
- Maximize current hotel key accounts by identifying and developing those that offer revenue growth.
- Capture competitor's accounts through networking, research and reader board surveys.
- Responsible for re-booking business through building strong professional customer service.
- Maintain well-documented, accurate, organized and up-to-date file management in order to serve client and employer needs.
- Develop strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication, sales and negotiating skills and the use of professional, courteous and ethical interpersonal interaction.
- Represent self and the hotel with the highest level of integrity and professionalism. Job Requires individual to be goal oriented and results driven. Position also requires occasional AM/PM work plus some weekends and that individual passes background check.
Seeking team-oriented person for bookkeeping role. Experience with Peachtree and Springer-Miller Systems' SMS|Host a plus. Accounting education a plus. Floating schedule available. Weekend work shifts required. Salary based on experience.
We are looking for a bookkeeper to join the Accounting/Administration team. Experience with daily cash outs and bank reconciliation a plus. Experience with Springer Miller Systems' SMS|Host and Peachtree software a plus. Experience with Microsoft Excel a must. Month end reconciliation's as well as inventory audit and review for resort will also be helpful. Must be a team player as the Accounting department is a small department within a large resort that prides itself on a team-working environment. The Resort and its staff's success is our goal. Weekend shifts are required about 3-4 times a year. Floating schedule maybe available depending on the hours/days requested (training would need to be during normal business hours M-F).
Candidate must possess: Excellent communication skills; Excellent guest relations skills; Heavy lifting required; An eye for detail; Ability to establish a sense of security to the guests/visitors; Must be 21 years of age, hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.
Housekeeping Staff needed for Rooms and Public Areas
Staff needed to help clean guest rooms and common areas to meet our 4 diamond standards. Weekends and holidays are required.
Public Area Cleanser/House Person
The Houseperson duties involve cleaning public areas of the hotel - vacuuming, dusting, cleaning public bathrooms; restocking linens for housekeepers, closets and restaurants. Provide amenities and services for guests as needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms and townhouses in a manner that will ensure Stoweflake's guests a clean, attractive and secure place to stay with friendly attentive service.
* Must be able to bend repetitively and lift 30-50 pounds.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
Responsible for planning, preparing, and executing all food within the Banquet Center at The Stoweflake Resort & Conference Center which includes 20,000 square feet of conference space. Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for incoming local, national and international clients through information provided in Stoweflake Conference Center Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Administrative duties may include scheduling, ordering, inventory, delegating, progressive discipline, and communicating information within the department and resort wide. Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment. Be knowledgeable of Stoweflake Resort & Conference Center policies and procedures.
Requirements * Minimum one year banquet chef experience. Managerial and/or supervisory experience a plus. Have the ability to conceptualize and prepare food presentations for buffets, a la carte and banquet operations. Have the ability to discuss and sell food product ideas to prospective banquet clients. Have Knowledge of food science and chemistry in volume application. Order quality and quantity of required food products. Ability to prepare food and labor cost budgets. Ability to develop and scale up recipes in direct proportion. Organizational skills are critical to the success of this role.
Front House Banquet Manager needed at our full-service, multi-outlet Resort. Manage the daily operations of the Banquet area to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service and compliance with standard operating procedures. Hire, manage, schedule & train the Banquet employees. Manage the set-up and food and beverage preparation and service to ensure compliance with Banquet Event Orders and an optimal level of service, quality and hospitality.
Minimum of five years hotel industry experience with an emphasis on banquet management and a minimum of two years banquet management experience is required. A flexible schedule is required as business happens during all shifts. Weekends, evenings and holidays are required.
Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in accordance with standards and plating guides. Position requires previous work experience. Position offers opportunity for advancement.

Have full knowledge of and fully comply with the state liquor laws. Each bartender is responsible for the daily maintenance and cleanliness of the bar before, during and after shift. Responsible for proper reconciliation of documentation.
