Your Stoweflake meeting has the luxury of a multitude of activities year-round. From the on-site professional golf practice facility and state-of-the-art Sports & Wellness Center, to organized team-building events, your meeting can be enhanced by activities that suit your needs.

We offer many types of team building activities, varying in duration and in essence. The extensive facilities of the conference center allow for a choice of venues. We prefer to work with the group's activity coordinator (or meeting planner) prior to the event to establish the goals and philosophy of the group.

Scrabble-Babble
The rules of Scrabble-Babble are simple. The group is given a stack of cards with one letter on each. They are asked to form words that are either freestanding or connected, similar to the game Scrabble. No letters can be reused. The objective is to form as many words as possible within a 10-minute period.

Depending on the group's goals and philosophy for the teambuilding, the cards can be set in piles around the room and a theme is established for the words. The group is divided into teams and directed to go to each pile of cards and form as many words as they can in a pre-established time period.

Destination

The group forms teams, which can be a team building exercise in itself. Each team is given a team walker, also known as a centipede, and lined up at a starting line. The goal of the team is to make their way to their destination, the finish line, on their team walker. This is not a physical endeavor, but a great team oriented activity. Without teamwork, you will never leave the starting gate. When the team reaches their destination, they move onto their challenge.

Pipeline

This challenge consists of moving a number of objects with different sizes and consistencies from one point to another point. They are transported through cylinder-like tubes that look like celery stalks. Sounds easy, but there are a few rules! Once started by a team member, the objects cannot stop, move backwards, fall off, or be touched by another team member. If any of the above happens, the team must start again. The object must pass through each team member's tube before dropping into a bucket. There typically are at least seven objects to be transported through the pipeline.

Other activities include Winter/Summer Olympics, Structure Building, House of Introduction, and more!  For more information, please contact the Stoweflake Sales office to request a Team Building brochure.
